One Year Blogiversary

I really can't believe my blogging journey began one whole year ago today! I had stumbled across a few parenting blogs and loved the idea of documenting everything, from family days out to monthly updates, as well as other things. I found myself reading these particular blogs regularly, when I decided I wanted to give it a go myself. I didn't really know where to start and I put myself off the idea quite a few times, thinking it was too late as Sophie was already 18 months old by this point. Although I figured I had nothing to lose - so one night I just decided to go for it and signed up to Blogger. I started writing about things me and Sophie got up to - like going on walks and a few Christmas related posts and it went from there and here we are a year later!

Now, if you're a blogger, you will know how much time and effort goes into your blog and in all honesty, I occasionally think about stopping it altogether (please say it's not just me?). Mainly because I find myself comparing myself to others, but I need to remember that this blog is only a year old and some have been doing this for years! I've put a lot of time and effort in and although I still have a long way to go, I'm quite proud of myself for sticking with it. Blogging is a hobby I really enjoy and I'm so glad I started! I've never really stuck to anything for long and I just wish I'd started sooner, as I think it's a great way to look back on precious moments. I've also met some lovely people and I've been given some amazing opportunities which I would never have done if I didn't start this blog - so for that, I'm so thankful!

I really hope you enjoy reading this blog and thank you so much to those who have supported me! Here's to the next year!

  1. Aah congratulations Emma! Happy blog birthday!! It's amazing how fast it goes, isn't it? I celebrated my blog turning 3 in November — it makes me so happy when I think of all the amazing moments and milestones that have been captured and preserved over that time. I agree though — it's such hard work but the rewards are definitely worth it! xx

  8. Congratulations! It's not just you - I am exactly the same. I'm the worst at comparing myself to others and sometimes feel like stopping it all. But then I sit down and write a post and it reminds me how much I love it :-) happy blogiversary xx

  9. Happy Blogiversary. You have done awesome. It isn't just you, I regularly think about stopping all together. Sometimes when it gets too tough I take a break and always feel better. I don;t think I could ever leave it completely, not just yet anyway.
