A Neutral Playroom

I've been searching for ways to update our home recently but as we're currently renting our house at the moment, we're limited to what we can do. Once we buy our own home, we will obviously be in a better position to do what we like with the house and this has led me to start looking at loft conversion inspiration, which I think would be perfect for creating some extra space for our family. There are so many things you could do with this new space, but I personally would love to give Sophie either a bigger bedroom or a playroom for her (and any future siblings) to play in.
If you have children yourself, you will know how much they take over! I think there's something of Sophie's in every room of the house at the minute and it's hard trying to find places for all of her toys. This is where a playroom would be really handy and I think Sophie would love having this space to play with her toys.

I have put together a list (which you can find below), of items which would look lovely in a playroom. I chose the picture ledges and cushions, which would be perfect for a reading corner and there is plenty of storage to put toys when they aren't in use. I have gone for a gender neutral theme as it would grow with her and would also be ideal if we have any children in the future too.

What would you do with the space if you had a loft conversion?

  1. oh how pretty. I would love to do one of my children's rooms black and white. I have found I am more confident to experiment with colour now.

  2. A neutral playroom theme is a good idea as you said it's gender neutral. My nephew takes up so much room it's crazy and he had toys everywhere which is also sweet I think lol

  6. This looks lovely and colour can always be introduced with bright bed covers if you ever think it needs it.

  11. Ooh I love that white kitchen. You rarely see neutral playrooms, and it would tie in better with a lot more houses.

  12. Love the kitchen. We have these IKEA storage units in the boys playroom, they are so handy and when the toys are put away you don't see the mess.

  15. Oh having a play room would be a dream. To be able to (hopefully) put all the toys in one place. I love the idea of the gender neutral colour scheme in black and white. Very classy. That kitchen is fabulous and you can't do better than an Ikea KALLAX storage unit. We have one in Little Miss H's bedroom and it is perfect for storing toys and books. Hugs Lucy xxxx

  17. This is a lovely idea! I had to do ours using existing furniture and adding storage so it is not as lively as this idea! x
