21 Week Pregnancy Update - Baby #2

So I'm currently a little behind with updates, but here's my 21 week pregnancy update with baby number two!

DUE DATE
31st October 2017

BABY DEVELOPMENT
Baby girl weighs almost a pound now and her movements prepare her motor skills and coordination. Her limbs are proportionate but she is still very thin. Her brain is beginning to have a period of rapid growth and development.

GENDER
It's a GIRL!

MOOD
I've been feeling good this week, apart from the tiredness and the other symptoms I've mentioned bellow. It's all a part of pregnancy though and I'm just having to get on with it!

SYMPTOMS
This week I had my whooping cough vaccination, which was fine even though I'm not a fan of needles! I've been waking in the night needing the toilet, which I think is something I'm going to have to get used to from now on. I'm still feeling really tired and naps are currently my new best friend haha! I'm still getting the occasional heartburn (which reminds me I still need to buy Gaviscon!). I've had a bit of sickness, which was quite random but it's definitely eased from what it was - so I'm not complaining! The round ligament pain is still uncomfortable too, as well as my hips aching and I struggle to get comfortable.

SLEEP
I can't get enough of sleep at the moment! Apart from waking up to go to the toilet in the night, I'm sleeping well.

MOVEMENT
This week I have felt a lot of movement. I was wearing my Blooming Lovely Jewellery necklace on the day she was most active and I'm positive she was reacting to the chime!

FOOD CRAVINGS OR AVERSIONS
I still can't get enough of potatoes!

HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEK
I think we have decided on baby girl's full name! We had her first name picked out since the beginning but there were two names we couldn't decide on for her middle name. I am so pleased with our choice and can't wait to share it with you when baby girl arrives.

LOOKING FORWARD TO
We're off on a family holiday to Scotland soon, which I'm really excited about. I can't believe this will be our last holiday as a family of three!

  1. Sounds like you are doing well. I hope you have a brilliant holiday in Scotland. I used to go there once a year when I was little. I haven't been for about 10 years now.
