Setting Up Our Home Entertainment

Over the years, we have slowly improved our entertainment system throughout our home and I'm looking forward to be able to set everything up again when we move house at the end of the year.

There are a number of products which we use on a daily basis, which we now couldn't live without...

Firstly, we really love using our Amazon Echo Dot for listening to music, mainly listening to different playlists on Spotify. We have also purchased an Echo Spot to use in our new kitchen, which I can't wait to try out whilst I'm in there cooking or cleaning! The Echo has lots of different features, such as telling the time, weather forecast and latest news. You can also add things to your shopping list, set reminders and once we have installed Nest (a smart home device), it can also control our heating!

We also upgraded our TV earlier in the year to a Smart TV, which is great for catching up on programmes, watching videos and movies by using all of the different built-in apps, which are so easy to use. We have also invested in a soundbar and subwoofer, which makes a huge difference to the sound quality and the overall experience, especially when watching movies as it really enhances the audio and it's as if you're at the cinema! You can find the latest deals on sound bars here.

We're also huge fans of Sky TV and have had it for quite a few years now, as it's great being able to record programmes, pause live TV, as well as download programmes and catch up when it's convenient for us (mainly when the children are in bed!). We also have access to the kids channels, so the girls can watch their favourite TV shows. Although I think we will eventually upgrade to Sky Q, which means you can record more programmes at the same time, stream films and programmes from Netflix and songs straight from Spotify etc. and also multi-room, so they can watch all their favourites in their new playroom when it's ready!

Our X-Box One is also a firm favourite, as Toby sometimes uses it to play games and it's also a DVD/Blu-Ray player, so it's perfect for watching films as a family. As our eldest daughter gets older, she can also use it to play on kids games too.

So there you have some of our favourite entertainment items. I'd love to know what your favourites are in your home!

Disclosure - this is a collaborative post.
