Christmas Gift Guide: For Toddlers

These are the presents we’ve bought for Sophie this year. She was only 6 months old last Christmas so we didn’t go mad, but I think I’ve definitely gone a little bit overboard this year! I have also included a couple of other items that family have bought her.

Stocking Fillers:
Musical Toys
All toddlers love making noise don't they?! I picked up this Peppa Pig tambourine from Asda for around £3.

An easy stocking filler, I picked up a pack of 3 pyjamas from Next in the size up so she should get plenty of wear out of them.

ELC Happyland Christmas Set
I couldn't not get this! This festive set was £8 from the Early Learning Centre and suitable from 18 months.

I got these cute animal socks from Next for £6.

Books & DVD’s
Sophie loves books, so I bought her these Peppa Pig ones from Asda which will hopefully teach her letters of the alphabet and numbers. I also got her a couple of Peppa Pig DVD's for £3 each, also from Asda.

Bath Toys
I picked up this Peppa Pig bath puzzle (again from Asda!) for around £6 and I think Sophie will love them!

Peppa Pig Hairbrush Set
I thought this was cute and an ideal stocking filler.

Minnie Mouse Blanket
A fleece blanket which matches her other bedding and was only £7.99 from Smyths Toys.

Main Presents:
ELC Happyland
I think Sophie will love these Happyland sets and they have so many good reviews. They are suitable from 18 months so they should keep her occupied for a while and last a few years too. I also got them all with 20% off from Mothercare, so it's worth keeping an eye out for offers!

Minnie Mouse Aquadoodle
I liked the idea of this, as it means Sophie can draw to her heart's content.. without making a mess that I will have to clean up! I used the Tesco Clubcard boost too, so it was only £8.

Sophie has only been walking a couple of months and I couldn't resist these cute pink Vans!

Dolls Pram
We bought her this Baby Annabell stroller as she loved it in Toys R Us! We got her a Baby Annabell First Doll for her 1st Birthday so she can push her round in this. We'll probably get her the 2-in-1 pram for her 2nd Birthday in June along with the full size Baby Annabell doll.

Little Tikes Kitchen & Laundry Centre
This is great for role play, my parents bought it in the Tesco Clubcard Boost so it was £45. It will last for years as it's well made and will get plenty of use too.

Minnie Mouse Cosy Coupe
How cute is this?! Toby's parents have bought her this. It's an Argos exclusive and it's currently on sale for £54.99 (instead of £64.99). I think Sophie will love playing with this in summer!

What have you bought your toddlers for Christmas this year?

Christmas Gift Guide: For Her

These are just some ideas for Christmas gifts for her.

You can’t go wrong with jewellery, so you could maybe buy her a Pandora or Thomas Sabo bracelet which you can then add to for Christmas and Birthdays etc or add to her existing collection with charms.

Coffee Machine
On my Christmas list is a coffee machine as I love hot chocolate (as I don’t drink tea or coffee) and there are some good deals around at the moment on the Bosch Tassimo machines.

Who doesn't like snuggling up in their onesie when it's cold?! I love the fluffy animal print one from Next.

Why not treat her to her favourite perfume? Chanel Eau Tendre smells so good!

Bath Set
A nice bath set would be nice, as most women like pampering themselves!

I love candles! Yankee Candles smell so good, my favourites are Soft Blanket & Christmas Eve. The White Company's Blanc candle smells amazing too - so fresh although it is quite a bit more expensive.

I gave a small hamper as a gift last year which went down really well. It included a candle, moisturiser, chocolates, socks etc. and didn't cost a lot – it can be done to suit all budgets too.

Pandora Silver Pave Wishing Star Charm - £60
The White Company Blanc Candle - £35
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette 50ml, Boots - £54.50
Animal Print All-In-One, Next - £28
Tassimo by Bosch T12 Vivy Coffee Machine, Argos - £39.99

Christmas Gift Guide: For Him

These are just some ideas for Christmas gifts for him.

Below are the gifts I have mainly bought for Toby (my boyfriend). But you could buy any of these items as gifts for family or friends.

The smaller items are ideal stocking fillers, as well as a DVD box set, chocolate, boxers and socks if you are stuck for ideas.

Electric Toothbrush
Toby has wanted one of these for ages and I got it for a bargain on Amazon, £26!

T-Shirt & Lounge Pants
I love the Daddy Pig items which were from Asda as what toddler isn't obsessed with Peppa Pig?! These are the perfect gift from Sophie for her Daddy.

Toby needs some new trainers and he likes hi-tops so I chose these. They weren't cheap but I think they were worth the price.

This is a similar shaver to the one I have bought. I used Tesco Clubcard Boost to get it for £25.

An everyday item and an easy stocking filler which is easily affordable.

Oral B Pro 2000 Electric Toothbrush, Amazon - £45
Philips PowerTouch Shaver PT720/17, Tesco - £55
Wallet, Next - £8
Nivea For Men Wash Kit, Tesco - £6
Daddy Pig T-Shirt, Asda - £8
Daddy Pig Lounge Pants, Asda - £10
Adidas Trainers, JD Sports - £70

What have you bought?

Sophie's Christmas Eve Basket 2014

I absolutely love Christmas and I was looking at Pinterest one day when I came across Christmas Eve baskets. I love the idea of them and thought I just had to do one for Sophie this year!

First Post

As this is my first post I just wanted to say hi everyone! I'm still trying to get used to this, but I'm sure we'll get there (eventually!). I had thought about starting my own blog for a while now, and finally - here I am!

I'm thinking of doing a Christmas Gift Guide as my next post, so a list of what I've bought family and friends for Christmas this year including stocking fillers for Sophie. This post should be up within the next few days as well as what's in Sophie's Christmas Eve basket.
