Sophie's Keepsake Box

thought I would share what is in Sophie's keepsake box. This is mainly the things from when she was a small baby although I do have another box with some other baby clothes, her Christening invitation, gifts, her first Christmas pyjamas, 1st birthday invitation, birthday cards and her dress etc.

1. Hooded Towels
A selection of hooded towels; the top left we got free in a Bounty Pack which Sophie was wrapped in not long after birth, the other white one is from The White Company and has cute little ears and the pink one is from Asda and has Sophie embroidered on it, which was a lovely gift I received at my baby shower from my sister.

2. Record Book

We bought this from Mothercare so we can keep a record of our first memories of Sophie. It's only half completed so I need to start filling it in soon!

3. The White Company Romper

I saw this in their sale and I just had to buy it. It's beautiful and she wore it a few times when she was a newborn.

4. Teddy Bear

This was Sophie's first ever teddy bear, which her Daddy bought her. It's from The White Company and is called 'Hugo', he's beautiful and so soft.

5. Bracelet

We received this beautiful bracelet when I was pregnant from Toby's Grandma, who sadly passed away when I was 5 months pregnant. She was so excited to be a great-grandma and was over the moon when we told her we were having a little girl. Sophie wore the bracelet on her Christening Day, which we thought was a nice touch as we felt his Grandma was with us on the day.

6. Ultrasound Pictures

These are the scan pictures from our 12 and 20 week scans.

7. Baby Names Book

My sister bought us this book as a gift. We went through the girls names and we both really liked the name Sophie. We both liked Ella too, but for a first name I thought it sounded too much like my name - so we agreed it would be better as her middle name. Sophie Ella sounded really nice and I think she suits it.

8. First Dress

This was the first dress she owned and I just couldn't part with it. It's a beautiful romper dress which I bought from Mothercare when I was pregnant, it looks so tiny!

9. Banner

This was one of the 'It's a Girl!' banners I kept from when we returned home from the hospital. There were balloons too which was really nice to come home to.

10. Cards

These are just a few of the cards we received from friends and family when Sophie was born.

11. Bottle

One of the Tommee Tippee bottles which we used in the first few months. It's so small!

12. Birth Certificates, Hospital Tag & Bounty Portrait

The folder with her birth certificates, the tags she wore on her wrist and ankle and the card with her Bounty portrait details on (although they weren't there on the day, so we didn't actually get any photos taken).

13. First Outfit & Going Home Outfit

Her first outfit was a beautiful little pink sleepsuit from George at Asda, part of their Max & Millie range and her going home outfit was a pair of Disney Dumbo pyjamas, also from Asda. I can't believe how tiny she was!

14. Hairbrush & Photograph

This was her first hairbrush and the photo is of her and Daddy in the hospital.

15. Favourite Toys

Sophie The Giraffe was a great teething toy and they also share the same name.. so I had to get this! The blue elephant is by Bright Starts and the tummy was crinkly, this went everywhere with us, she loved it! Her first book was this lift the flap book from Mothercare which is also crinkly, it entertained her for hours!

At the moment I keep all of Sophie's baby things in a gift box, but I'm on the lookout for a large keepsake box to keep it all in. Please let me know if you have any recommendations!

So, what's in your child's keepsake box? I'd love to see!
