Being a Blogger

I've been tagged by Ashleigh from Loving my Finley to share what blogging means to me.
I guess I started this whole blogging thing a bit later than most. Sophie was almost 18 months old when I decided I wanted to create a blog and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing! I'm still learning new things every day as it’s still a  relatively new blog but I wanted somewhere I can write down my thoughts and feelings. That’s along with my other interests; days out, shopping hauls, home d├ęcor ideas and product reviews.

Next Summer Sale Haul #2

Following on from my Next Summer Sale Haul: Part 1 last week, I'm showing you the other items which I snapped up in the Next sale. I luckily managed to book a VIP slot online so picked up quite a few of the items I'd had my eye on!

Next Summer Sale Haul #1

I managed to pick up some bargains at the Next Summer Sale this morning so I thought I would share them with you, for those who like reading this kind of post.

I was in the queue outside Next at 3.30am so I was luckily one of the first people to go in when the store opened at 5am. You probably all know by now that I absolutely love Next! Especially their children's clothes; there's always something I like and everything washes really well too.

So here's what I picked up:

Stripe T-Shirt, £1.50 | Pink Cardigan, £4.50 | Skinny Jeans, £5 | Unicorn T-Shirt, £3 | Camera T-Shirt, £2.50 | Bunny T-Shirt, £3 | Dress & Tights Set, £7 | Pink Top & Ditsy Pants Set, £7 | Socks, £3 | White Pumps, £5.50

I also popped into Next Home while I was there and accidentally purchased a few bits for our new house (oops!):

A New Chapter.. Moving House

So this time next week we'll have picked up the keys to our new home. It's like a new chapter in our lives and we're all so excited to finally move into a bigger house with a bigger garden for Sophie to play in.

On the other hand, I keep thinking of all the happy memories we've had here and I'm quite sad to leave them behind.  We've been here for 2 years now - since Sophie was just 3 months old and she's practically grown up here. It was our first proper family home. Of course, we've had many sleepless nights but we've also watched her grow from a baby to a little girl and learn new things every single day; from rolling over, sitting up, crawling, saying her first words and taking her first steps. We've celebrated her first Christmas, birthdays and Easter too.

But overall, I'm looking forward to our future together as a family and I just know we will be a lot happier in our new home! So here's to the future..

Wicked Uncle Toys | Review

We were recently contacted by a toy company called Wicked Uncle to review some of their products and we were very kindly sent a £40 voucher to spend on toys of our choice from their website.

Wicked Uncle isn't just a toy company - they are essentially a 'present service for Birthdays, Christmas and other occasions'. They are 'the only toy shop in the world that doesn’t sell primarily to parents. They sell to uncles, aunts, godparents and grandparents' which is what makes them unique to other toy companies.

I personally found their website very easy to use as everything is divided by age and gender. Finding the perfect present has never been so easy! The toys are automatically sorted by 'Most Popular' for convenience - this way you know the current favourites for each age and gender, although you can also select lowest price or highest price first depending on your budget.
