We’ve finally got everything just how we want it after we moved in to our new home at the end of July. Although, the only thing I don’t have is my own little workspace for blogging, etc. I’d like to be able to sit down and concentrate on what I’m writing and hopefully I can be more productive.
I’ve found that I can sometimes lack motivation because I don’t have a designated workspace and I get easily distracted just sat on the sofa of an evening trying to write blog posts. Also, sometime in the new year, I’ll also be starting my new job (working for the family business doing general admin) which hopefully means I will be able to work from home occasionally too.
Over the past week or so, I’ve been online looking for an ideal workspace on a low budget and I’m hoping it will go in the corner of our bedroom. We do have a third bedroom in our new house, but it’s currently full of clutter (and if we are going to have a baby in the near future, there’s no point setting everything up in there just to move it all again).
I firstly picked this white Micke desk from Ikea which also has enough storage too for notepads, pens etc. I then chose this Eames inspired chair to go with it and the A-Z cushion from Next. Lastly, I wanted some flowers to freshen it up and really liked these artificial roses from John Lewis. I think that’s it! It’s very simple but I like how how fresh and neutral it is.
What would be your ideal workspace?

Tres chic! I dream of a dedicated work space too, but have to make do with the dining table or my lap. Considering a shed to call my own.
