Restarting My Slimming World Journey

If you've followed my blog for a while, you may remember seeing a post about me joining Slimming World last year. I managed to lose over half a stone in a few short weeks... although it soon became a struggle to follow the plan when I found out I was pregnant, due to sickness.

Once I'd had Amelia, I somehow managed to fall back into my old eating habits once again and over the next few months that followed, the weight creeped back on and before I knew it I was the heaviest I had ever been. I was absolutely mortified that I had got to this point.

I was constantly paranoid at how other people perceived me and I was always worrying about my size. It was making me so unhappy and I knew I needed to do something about it. I couldn't carry on like this anymore. 

So I made a decision - I was going to rejoin Slimming World again.

And I did, I joined the following week. I started at the end of June and in just eight weeks I have lost 25 pounds, which is almost two stone. I'm already noticing a difference in myself and my fitness levels too.

I am so proud of myself and I am more determined than ever to keep going. I really do believe you have to be in the right mindset, as I've been a member of Slimming World many times in the past and it can be really hard to stay on track. However, I've been following the plan and making better choices, without depriving myself of things I enjoy and I've had a loss each week (including when we got back from two weeks on holiday!) - which is what I'm hoping will continue. I'm aiming to lose around 6 stone in total, so I know i have a long way to go but I'm getting there slowly.
