Sophie's Pastel Rainbow Themed 6th Birthday Party

It was Sophie's sixth birthday recently, so we decided to throw her a little party/get together at home to celebrate with our close friends and family. I'd asked Sophie what theme she wanted for her party this year and as you can probably tell from the title of this post, she said rainbow! So I thought I'd share some photos I took on the day of the girls and the decor.

Sophie also had a party at a local soft play centre the day before with all her friends, so she was very excited she had two parties and I'm so pleased they both ran really smoothly too!

I started planning the party a couple of months ago now and ordered most of the supplies online, which as always, I will link at the end of this post. I'm so happy with how it all turned out and it was just as I imagined it!

We didn't do loads of food for the buffet, as there wasn't that many people there plus the only children were the girls and their baby cousin. However there were plenty of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, crisps, party ring biscuits and a few sweet treats too (as I couldn't resist ordering the rainbow donut wall!).

I ordered both of the girls' dresses from Next a while ago now, but saved them for the party as I thought they'd be perfect for the rainbow theme! You can find Sophie's here and Amelia's here.

And finally here's a close-up photo of the cake of dreams... which is probably the best rainbow chocolate cake I have ever tasted!

Thank you for reading if you made it this far. We had such a lovely day and Sophie declared it as "the best birthday ever!", so I think she enjoyed it too!
