My After Lockdown Bucket List

We're now six weeks into lockdown due to the current Corona Virus crisis, so I thought it would be a nice idea to write down a list of some of the things I'm looking forward to doing once we are able to.

1. Visit family
I think this is a pretty obvious one, but I'm just desperate to see our family in person again! It's nice we've been able to video call, but I can't wait to hug them again and just enjoy their company. I know they have all missed the girls a lot too.

2. See friends
I've really missed all of our friends too and can't wait to organise a get together.

3. Host a BBQ
I'd love to have our friends/family round when the weather is nice, we could sit outside in the garden, watching the children play and have a drink or two.

4. Go shopping
Oh I miss normal shopping without waiting in a queue! I'd love to visit my favourite shops (Next & Homesense!) soon too.

5. Go out for a meal
We're quite lucky that where we live we've managed to order a few takeaways, but I can't wait to eat out again.

6. Enjoy a family mini-break
I think our annual trip to Northumberland will be cancelled, so I'm hoping we can re-book it or maybe visit somewhere else this year.

7. Have a child-free day
I can't wait to have a little break away from the girls, after spending 24/7 with them recently. I am exhausted!

8. Go on a day trip somewhere
I'm not sure where yet, as there are so many places I'd love to take them - but I'm thinking the zoo, a local farm, safari park or something along those lines.

9. Plan our couple weekend away
We were already planning a weekend away to York, however our plans were obviously put on hold. I'd love to explore the city more though, as it was lovely when we visited in January.

10. Finish our house projects
Just before lockdown, we ordered our fireplace and new sofas for our living room - so I can't wait for them to finally arrive to finish the room off. Also, our dining table is almost finished being built too and I can't wait for it all to come together!

If you're looking for things to do in the meantime, I have written a list of 50 indoor activities to do with your children that you may find useful.

What are you most looking forward to once lockdown is over?
