During my pregnancy, I was very kindly asked if I wanted to review the FHL Milk Monster. I had seen it previously and thought it was a fab idea! Despite not knowing which method I would be using to feed my baby, I knew it would be super useful – so of course I agreed.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re formula feeding or breastfeeding, if the milk has been left at room temperature for too long, it can cause an increase of harmful bacteria – which is why it should be discarded after a certain time. So this is where Milk Monster comes in…
Milk Monster is a timer which attaches to your baby’s bottle and clearly shows you how long the milk has been left out. It is universal, so fits all bottle sizes and also comes in the choice of four colours – blue, green, pink and purple.
It comes with instructions for use and the battery is also included, so it’s ready to use straight away. The formula we are using recommends to discard the milk within two hours – so this is what I set the timer to, which I found super easy to do without the need for the instructions. The bottle on the side glows in the dark and there is also a back light on the timer, which can be activated at the touch of a button – making it really handy for night feeds. The outer shell and strap can be handwashed and is also dishwasher safe.
I’m forgetful at the best of times, let alone when I’m sleep deprived so I have found this little gadget very useful. Not only does it ensure the milk is safe to consume, but it limits waste too! If you want to get your hands on one for yourself, you can purchase one directly from the Milk Monster website, on Amazon or enter the competition below.

What an amazing idea! My son had to have anti reflux milk which had to sit for 7 mins to thicken after it was made so this would have been perfect for this too!

such a simple but really useful idea – will make such a difference as people often forget about the bacteria side of things

I would probably choose purple. We don't know the sex of the baby until the end of the month so purple is probably a safe bet
