I thought I would share the mood board I’ve put together, along with the plans for baby’s nursery, as I love reading these types of posts myself for inspiration!
Nursery Plans
As you can see we’ve decided on a safari theme for the nursery for baby number three. I want to add white panelling all the way around the bottom half of room. The top half will be painted in Farrow & Ball Cornforth White – which is a gorgeous beigey-grey colour.
1. Tassel Lampshade
I absolutely love this tassel lampshade and think it will tie in with the room really well.
2. Safari Animals Prints
I remember seeing these prints years ago and I just fell in love with them! They will look lovely hanging above baby’s cot. I have also purchased some wooden frames for them, similar to the ones below.
3. Wooden Safari Animals
I loved these handmade wooden figures! They would look cute on a shelf, until baby is old enough to play with them. I ordered the below safari animals; lion, elephant, giraffe and zebra.
4. White Classic Cot Bed
We purchased this cot bed when we were expecting our last baby and we will be reusing it again this time around. It’s amazing quality and it still looks as good as new!
5. Name Blocks
As soon as we found out we were having another baby girl, I ordered these beautiful name blocks (as we had already chosen her name!). These are the colours I have picked and I can’t wait to see them displayed in the nursery.
6. Rattan Elephant Bookshelf
I’ve chosen a neutral theme, with touches of wood and rattan – I think this bookshelf will finish the nursery off perfectly.
7. Wooden Safari Drawer Handles
These handmade wooden safari handles will be a lovely finishing touch to the chest of drawers, which we will use as a changing station.
8. Olli Ella Changing Basket
I purchased this changing basket to go on top of the drawers because we didn’t want to spend more money on a changing table. It’s so beautiful and fits really well with the rest of the room.
9. Lion Basket
I couldn’t resist purchasing this basket for extra storage in baby’s nursery. I will probably keep blankets and soft toys in here!
10. Macrame Rainbow
These colours go perfectly in the nursery and will look great hanging up.
11. Giraffe Soft Toy
I think this giraffe toy is so adorable! Although, the nursery isn’t a huge room, so I’m not sure we will have room for it yet!
12. Berber Rug
Finally, I chose this rug to finish off the room and make it feel cosier.
I’d love to know what you think of our nursery plans! I’ll be sharing progress over on Instagram @sophieellaandme. Once the room is complete, I will also do a reveal here on the blog.
