You may have seen we recently moved the girls’ bedrooms, to make room for our new arrival. Our eldest, Sophie, moved into what was once the playroom and Amelia is now in Sophie’s old bedroom! This meant we could make a start on baby’s nursery too.
We decided to redecorate before they switched rooms, so they were more personal and their own style. I’ve loved the scalloped wall trend for a while now and thought this would be the perfect room for it. I’m so pleased with how it turned out! Most of the room is painted matt white, which really brightens up the space and the scallops are painted in Farrow & Ball Setting Plaster.

I have tried to incorporate similar colours throughout the room, with touches of wood and a subtle rainbow theme too.
Storage

We absolutely love the IKEA Kallax unit for toy storage, plus it’s so affordable too!

Amelia loves practicing for her new ‘big sister’ role with her Olli Ella Dozy Dinkum doll.

I think this has got to be my favourite corner of the room, I just love how it has all come together! We have the IKEA Hemnes drawers, which again are really affordable and fit all of her clothes in.

This Olli Ella Dinkum doll is a new addition to Amelia’s room; she will play with her for ages. She loves getting her dressed into different outfits and brushing her hair.

I spend way too much time than I care to admit faffing around with this shelf, adding lots of books and pretty decor! I especially love switching it up for the different holidays and seasons.
Dollshouse

We got this house bookshelf for Amelia’s birthday last year and it’s fair to say, she absolutely loves it. She will spend hours playing with the Maileg mice; putting them to bed, sitting them on the sofa in front of the fire and rocking the baby mice to sleep.

I hope you enjoyed reading about Amelia’s bedroom makeover, I have linked the main products below. I’ll also be sharing Sophie’s new bedroom and a nursery reveal over the coming weeks – so please do keep an eye out for those!
