So this time next week we’ll have picked up the keys to our new home. It’s like a new chapter in our lives and we’re all so excited to finally move into a bigger house with a bigger garden for Sophie to play in.
On the other hand, I keep thinking of all the happy memories we’ve had here and I’m quite sad to leave them behind. We’ve been here for 2 years now – since Sophie was just 3 months old and she’s practically grown up here. It was our first proper family home. Of course, we’ve had many sleepless nights but we’ve also watched her grow from a baby to a little girl and learn new things every single day; from rolling over, sitting up, crawling, saying her first words and taking her first steps. We’ve celebrated her first Christmas, birthdays and Easter too.
But overall, I’m looking forward to our future together as a family and I just know we will be a lot happier in our new home! So here’s to the future..
Moving house is so exciting but at the same time can be a grieving process for all the reasons you have mentioned in your post. It's also hard work, you must be very busy! Good luck with the move and there will be many wonderful memories for you to create in your new home. K x
It is so exciting but it's definitely hard work too! There's boxes everywhere at the moment haha but not long now and hopefully we can get back to normal! Thank you :). I can't wait to make some lovely memories in our new home 🙂 xx
