We were recently contacted by a toy company called Wicked Uncle to review some of their products and we were very kindly sent a £40 voucher to spend on toys of our choice from their website.
Wicked Uncle isn’t just a toy company – they are essentially a ‘present service for Birthdays, Christmas and other occasions’. They are ‘the only toy shop in the world that doesn’t sell primarily to parents. They sell to uncles, aunts, godparents and grandparents’ which is what makes them unique to other toy companies.
I personally found their website very easy to use as everything is divided by age and gender. Finding the perfect present has never been so easy! The toys are automatically sorted by ‘Most Popular’ for convenience – this way you know the current favourites for each age and gender, although you can also select lowest price or highest price first depending on your budget.
I firstly chose the Tomy Megasketcher (with Toby’s help, as there was so much choice I couldn’t decide!). I had one of these (or at least one similar) when I was younger and I’m positive Sophie will love this one. It’s an ideal toy to take away with us as it doesn’t make any mess and it will keep her occupied as she loves drawing. It also includes different shaped stamps which she can have fun with!
I also chose this lovely ‘Magni Wooden Cake Stand and Cakes’. It states age 3+ on the packaging but I think it something that can be used now and for years to come as Sophie is really getting into roleplay at the moment and this is ideal for little tea parties.
Wicked Uncle also offer a gift wrapping service with 10 different designs to choose from as well as a greetings card of your choice which can be personalised with your own message and sent directly to the recipient along with your gift. You can also set up future reminders so you won’t miss another birthday! How good is that?!
I’m very impressed by the products and service we have received and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
