Christmas 2015

This week seems to have flown by and I can’t believe that’s Christmas over with for another year. I hope you’ve all had a wonderful time celebrating! I wanted to share what we did on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day this year.

Christmas Eve

I was so happy because Toby had the day off work (he was originally working) but that was it now until after Christmas and I was so excited to have him home with us. We started the day by giving Sophie her Christmas Eve basket which she loved! She may have even had a few chocolate coins before breakfast.. It was Christmas after all haha! I love the photo of her kissing her little polar bear too.

I put on The Snowman and The Snowdog DVD while Sophie helped her Daddy build the gingerbread house. I thought it was a really nice thing to do as a family and she really enjoyed sticking the sweets on it (that’s when she wasn’t eating them haha). She also did a bit of colouring in her new Frozen book.

Christmas Day
We didn’t get up very early on Christmas Day to be honest, as we were up in the early hours of the morning because poor Sophie was really struggling with a cough. Once we were up (around 10am), we gave Sophie her stocking and she loved opening the presents! Although she was more excited unwrapping the paper! She just kept saying “another one!” and grabbing another present and ripping the paper off! Bless her, she was so excited!

Once she’d opened all of her stocking fillers, we went downstairs where Sophie got stuck in opening her other main presents. Once she noticed her play kitchen, we couldn’t tear her away from it! We’re so glad she likes it though. After that, we were in a bit of a rush to get ready as we were spending the day at Toby’s parents house, so although I took my camera with me – I accidentally left it in the car and completely forgot to take any photos while we were there! But we had a great day with family, opening some lovely presents and eating Christmas dinner. Sophie loved her new dolls house which her grandparents bought for her too.

Boxing Day
This was really our second Christmas Day, but we were at my parents’ house. Thankfully we weren’t in such a rush and we had a really nice day. We all received some thoughtful gifts and once again Sophie was spoilt by family! I managed to snap a quick photo of Sophie stood by the Christmas tree before we left but that’s about it!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

We had similar excitement, except our day started at 5:20! Grandma had flown over on Christmas Eve unknown so she was delegated chief present opener. I forgot to take pictures as well!

It's nice to read what other people got up to over Christmas. Sounds like you had a fab time. We were up at 7am on Christmas Day which I don't think was too bad.

Lovely picture of your daughter by the tree. Gorgeous dress.

Sounds like you had a great Christmas! Love the photo of the polar bear kiss. So cute! Do you wrap your Santa gifts? We never have and it's never occured to me that other people do. That's A LOT of wrapping!

Thank you Tori, we certainly did! I hope you did too :). I wasn't sure whether to wrap the stocking fillers as well, but I'm glad I did as Sophie loved unwrapping everything by herself this year! x

What great photos. I totally get what you're saying about just wanting to open the presents too, I was saying this to my mum on Christmas day. It doesn't matter what you wrap, they just look for more and more to open! Next year I might save a few for the following week to relive the magic 😉
