It feels like ages since I last sat down and wrote a blog post. In fact it’s been nearly a month since I last published a post and I’ve hardly been on social media either – which isn’t like me at all, but I decided to take a little blogging break. It wasn’t planned, but it was definitely needed. So I thought I would just write down what we’ve been up to lately and why I decided to take a step back from blogging for a few weeks.
I have to start off by saying how glad I am that we’re now in February! I find January goes so slow, which doesn’t help when you’re suffering with the ‘January blues’ and I’ve also really struggled with motivation this month. Thankfully, things are more positive now and we have a couple of things to look forward to in the next few months – which is exciting!
This weekend Toby and I have booked a night away in a hotel, child-free as Sophie will be at her Grandparents’ and we’re both really looking forward to it. I think we will go out for a meal too and make a night of it. Sometimes you need to spend quality time together as a couple – and we don’t do it often enough.
We also managed to book tickets earlier this week to see Ed Sheeran at the end of April, which I’m so excited about. I can’t believe it’s been five years since I last saw him live, and I can’t wait to take Toby this time!
