A few weeks ago, we had a lovely trip to Knowsley Safari Park where we spent a full day there. I didn’t realise but it is actually fairly local to us and only a 40 minute car journey from where we live. I’ve never been before so I was really looking forward to it and Sophie was very excited too!
Once we arrived around mid-morning, we drove straight into the park to look at the animals. We purchased a map which included a sheet of various animal stickers you could add to the map, once you had seen each one. Sophie loved doing this as we drove along!
We stopped off for some lunch and had a bit of a wander around. Sophie spotted the face painting and insisted she wanted to be a tiger! My mum very kindly purchased a wristband for her too, so she could go on some of the rides. She absolutely loved it and went on the same rides over and over again!
The sun came out in the afternoon too and it was just lovely. We all went to look at the birds of prey and then watched the sea lion show, which was brilliant! Sophie had a go on a couple more rides and we stopped off for an ice cream before heading back to the car.
We had time to go back around the park to look at the animals once last time. Sophie especially loved the monkeys, lions and tigers although there were so many others including elephants, giraffe, deer, rhinos, zebras etc. It was pretty amazing how close you could get to some of them.
We had such a lovely day at Knowsley Safari Park and we will definitely go back over the Summer. It really is worth a visit if it’s not too far away!

We've never been here but it isn't actually that far from us. Looks like such a fun day. My three year old is always amazed by animals so this would work well for her!
