Bravado Maternity & Nursing Bra Review

I was recently given the chance to review the award-winning Bravado nursing bras. I had already heard great things about them, so I couldn’t wait to try them for myself.

Admittedly, in my first pregnancy which was over four years ago, I didn’t purchase a single maternity or nursing bra. Even now, I can still remember just how uncomfortable I was, wearing my regular underwire bras. I really wish I had invested in one or two good quality maternity bras, which would have lasted throughout my pregnancy, as well as afterwards when my body went through a lot of changes.

I chose the Body Silk Seamless Yoga Nursing Bra in the colour Dove Heather and the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra in black, although there are a variety of different colours and styles to choose from. They come in sizes S-XL and they have a really handy size chart on their website (which is super easy to use) to ensure you choose the correct size.
I have to say, I love the look of the Bravado bras as they are both comfortable and stylish. I’m really impressed with the quality and the material is so soft and stretchy, they are by far the most comfortable bra’s I have ever owned – I actually forget I’m wearing it! They are also seamless, which makes them perfect for growing during and after pregnancy. They provide a great level of support, which is essential with the amount of changes that are currently happening, and will also happen after birth.
The bras retail for around £30, which I think is very reasonably priced for a maternity and nursing bra. However, each bra also comes with a conversion kit for after pregnancy. By following the simple instructions, you can turn your Bravado bra into a regular bra once your pregnancy and/or feeding journey is finished.

The easy open and close clips can be done one-handed, which is ideal for nursing. I still haven’t completely decided if I will be breastfeeding, however I’m quite relaxed about it and I think I will try it again. However, I’m not putting any pressure on myself and if it doesn’t work out – then at least I know I’ve given it another go. I will still be packing the other bra in my hospital bag, as I think they will be great post-partum and when my milk comes in.

If you’re on the lookout for a maternity or nursing bra, I would definitely recommend Bravado. You can find more information and purchase directly the Bravado website, as well as other retailers such as John Lewis, Amazon and JoJo Maman Bebe.
Disclosure – we were very kindly sent the items above for the purpose of this review. However, opinions are my own and 100% honest.
