How does it work?
If you are looking for local childcare, you can find a selection of babysitters and childminders; as well as nanny’s, private midwives, out of school clubs, private tutors and more!
It is free to sign up, all you need to do is register your details and you are able to browse profiles and choose the right person to suit your requirements. It really is that easy!
Finding childcare in my local area
I decided to search for a local babysitter within a 5 mile radius and my initial search came back with 90 results. I was then able to filter my options using the drop-down menu. Some of these filters include babysitters with childcare qualifications, DBS checks and those with first aid training. I can get peace of mind that my children would be well looked after and in safe hands.
Emergency childcare
There is the option to search for last-minute childcare due to emergencies, using the ’emergency babysitters’ filter, which I think is great, especially for working and/or single parents who may require help. There are also added options due to the Coronavirus, where you are able to search for ‘Corona helpers’ or ‘babysitters offering free NHS emergency childcare’ in your area – which would be ideal for Keyworkers, for example, who may be in need of last-minute childcare.
Ease of use
I find the website user-friendly and very easy to navigate. You can filter your searches to narrow down the results to suit your requirements. You can also download the app on the App Store for Apple and Android users.
I personally like being able to view individual profiles of childcare providers, as you are able to see who they are and find out a bit more about them, plus previous experience, qualifications, availability, fees, relevant documents and reviews.
