At the beginning of February, we stayed over at The Vincent Hotel in Southport. It wasn’t for a special occasion as such, it was actually a last-minute decision as we found the room to be slightly cheaper as we booked online elsewhere.
I think everyone deserves a little break and to spend some quality time together with their other half without the usual distractions of everyday life. Whether it’s a night or weekend away or an evening off to go out for a child-free meal, I personally think it makes a big difference. So we couldn’t wait for our night away – and we weren’t disappointed.
The Vincent is a 4-star hotel located in Southport, which isn’t too far from where we live and I think it was only around a 45 minute drive. The staff were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and we were showed to our room, on the fifth floor which had a lovely view of Southport. Our room was a ‘V Studio’, which had a super-king size bed (it was so comfortable!), as well as a private bar, coffee machine, free wi-fi, etc.
We stayed at The Vincent five years previous to this and it was just as beautiful as I remember. It was so luxurious and I loved the little touches, such as The White Company toiletries. I even enjoyed a bubble bath while I was there and it was so relaxing.
We had already booked a table for a local restaurant and cocktail bar called The Fire Pit, which was just a short walk from the hotel. We both enjoyed a lovely meal (and I may have had a few cocktails too!). We really enjoyed it and I think we will go back at some point.
I would definitely recommend The Vincent Hotel, if you are local to us and are thinking of staying in Southport.
