Baby Girl Nursery Tour

I’m so excited to share baby girl’s nursery with you all today. It’s been a work in progress and it’s taken a while to get everything right. However it’s all come together and I’m so pleased with it.

Disclosure – this post contains affiliate links.

I knew when we found out we were expecting our second baby, I wanted a neutral grey and white theme. You can see my neutral nursery inspiration post here. I’ve stuck with that, however once we found out we were having another baby girl, I added a few pink touches to it too.

This is what you see when you walk into the room. The nursery is the smallest room in our home, so I wanted to make sure there was plenty of storage, but not too overcrowded with furniture too. I think the decor of white and grey brightens the room up, as well as the big window. I chose a pair of blackout curtains, so there isn’t a need for a blind too and we also have the matching ceiling shade.

Sleeping

We opted for a cotbed again this time, which should last until baby girl is around three to four years old. Although they’re a bit bigger in size than a regular cot, I personally think it’s worth paying a little bit more for something that will last a lot longer.

I couldn’t resist this Jellycat bunny for baby girl, to match her big sisters’ and I love the little milk bottle rattle too.

Changing

I wanted somewhere we could change the baby, but didn’t want to pay a lot for a changing unit, which would only last around a year. Instead we purchased the Hemnes drawers from Ikea and I have added a wedge changing mat on top to make our own little changing station. I’ve also added a cover, to make it more comfortable for her.

Storage

I like that the drawers can grow with her and it currently holds plenty of essentials, clothes and blankets. There is also a wicker basket containing some changing essentials; a handful of nappies, wipes, nappy bags and a couple of sleepsuits and bodysuits.

For a little extra storage, I chose the Kallax units with white baskets and I have placed a few decorative items on there too. I will add baby girl’s initial letter on here, once she has arrived and we have announced her name.

Decor

I love these prints from Desenio and they are absolutely perfect for the nursery. They go really well with the grey and white theme, with a touch of pink. We also have a subtle cloud theme too, so there is a cloud bunting hanging above the prints, along with a cloud shelf and hook, bedding and cushions.

My partner handmade the cloud shelf and cloud hook himself, which I think is a lovely touch. They are even better than I ever imagined and I’m so pleased with how they turned out! For now I have added some soft toys, but I will put them in her storage basket. I will replace them with her name blocks on there once she’s finally here!

On the windowsill, I have filled another wicker basket with swaddles and next to the window is a shelf full of classic baby books; including The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Guess How Much I Love You and The Very Hungry Caterpillar (just to name a few!).

So there you have baby girl’s nursery! I have also written a separate blog post on nursery storage and organisation if you wanted to see how I’ve arranged everything. I have linked most things below too, if you want to know where things are from.

Hi, there’s a white nursing chair in the picture. Where did you purchase that from?
Also lovely decor in the room!
