Vileda Windomatic | Review

I try my best to keep on top of the housework, however there are certain jobs that just don’t get done as often as they should and cleaning windows is one of them. So when we were recently asked if we wanted to review the Vileda Windomatic, of course I agreed and we couldn’t wait for it to arrive so we could test it out.

You may have already heard of the Vileda Windomatic, which is a window vacuum cleaner. It is a quick and easy way to clean your windows, leaving a streak-free finish, as well as removing condensation on windows & mirrors and cleaning up spills too.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
  • Windomatic
  • Detachable Wiper Blade Head
  • Instructions
  • Mains Charger

ASSEMBLY
The only assembly required is attaching the wiper blade head. This is very straightforward and just clips on. You can also purchase the Windomatic with an additional nozzle, which is ideal for smaller surfaces.

FEATURES
  • It is lightweight.
  • Suction power across the full width of the wiper blade, ensures a perfect streak-free result.
  • The flexible head allows you to get right down to the bottom of the window and into corners.
  • The battery is mains rechargeable, which allows you to use the Windomatic cordlessly all around the home.
  • It can be used for up to 20 minutes and wipe up to 60m² on one charge.
  • It can can also be used to remove condensation and clean up spills.
  • The waste water tank can be removed for easy emptying and cleaning. It is also dishwasher safe.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE WINDOMATIC

Once it had arrived, I had a quick read of the instructions and placed the Windomatic on charge. Once it was fully charged and ready to use, we wiped the windows with warm soapy water and slowly went over it with the Windomatic. I was really surprised at how effortless it is and with a push of a button, it sucked up the water and left our windows looking very clean and streak-free. I think the flexible head is brilliant for cleaning the bottom of the windows and getting into corners, as other brands don’t have this feature.

I’m very pleased that I no longer have to clean the windows & mirrors in our home with a spray on cleaner, as trying to remove excess water and streaks took a lot of effort by hand, however now I don’t have an excuse! We are very impressed with all of the features of the Windomatic and the results from using it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easier alternative to cleaning windows.

The Windomatic has an RRP of £49.99 and is available to purchase from the Vileda website and other selected retailers.
