Since moving into our new home a few months ago, I’ve wanted to do a tour of our living room as it’s obviously one of the most used rooms in our house. However, I’ve been putting it off due to one reason or another. Now that we’ve finally got it how we want it and with our new sofa arriving last week, I couldn’t wait any longer to show you!
I love the layout of this room and it’s huge compared to our last house! We wanted to maximise the space, so we got rid of our three seater sofas and bought this corner sofa instead. It also folds out into a sofa bed for when we have guests stay over. We’re so pleased with it! It’s really comfortable and it’s nice to be able to snuggle up on the sofa and watch TV as a family. We picked up the unit above from Ikea which is perfect for storing Sophie’s toys and books, especially with Christmas approaching too and I just had to buy this LED star light, which I think looks great on top of the unit.
To break the wall up above the sofa, we put up a picture ledge with a selection of our favourite photos, which I can just switch around whenever I fancy a change. I’m on the lookout for some other little cushions for the sofa too.
You might have already seen our TV unit, sideboard and dining table which are all part of the Corsica range from Next and I’m in love with it! The table is the perfect size for the three of us, but it also extends which is ideal if we’re having friends over for tea etc.
Another thing I love about this house is the little patio area, which is just a bit more space for Sophie to play and store her toys. We’ve got her a play kitchen for Christmas and it will fit in that space perfectly and won’t get in the way either.
We’re so happy we’ve finally finished and it really feels like home now! What do you think of our living space?

Your living room looks lovely and love the next furniture. I have few of the expedit/kallax units from Ikea, they are so handy. I'm on a bit of neutral kick at the minute which is really odd for someone who loves colour! xx
