We had a lovely weekend celebrating Sophie’s birthday so I thought I would share how we spent the day along with some photos from her birthday and her party too.
On the day of Sophie’s birthday, which was Monday 13th June, we dropped her off at nursery in the morning as she wanted to go and see her friends (and for them to sing happy birthday to her haha!). Toby managed to get the day off work, so we just tidied up a bit while Sophie was at nursery and we went and picked her up at around 2pm and headed straight home. I got her changed into this number three t-shirt from Nor-Folk, which I ordered especially for her birthday!
She then made a start on opening her presents, she was so excited as she had literally been talking about her birthday for months, bless her! We got her a wooden dolls crib, a couple of new books, some games, a wooden toy birthday cake and a few other little bits.
We held her party on the Saturday before her birthday (you can read the party plans here). The day went really well, although it was pretty hectic! There were around 25 people including children and we hired a bouncy castle, although unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side and it started raining quite heavily early afternoon (typical!). Although they did manage to use the bouncy castle for over an hour before the rain started.
So that’s how we celebrated Sophie’s third birthday! I can’t believe we now have a three year old!

Lovely party. I love the whole setup. And how cool is the bouncy castle. We had Matthew's 3rd birthday party in a play centr . His 4th birthday we might go to the zoo or a theme park.
