We didn’t really celebrate Halloween last year, so this year I decided to make a bit more of an effort now that Sophie is a bit older and has more of an understanding about it. She spent the day at pre-school but she said she had a great time there and told me all about it when I picked her up.
It was Halloween dress up at pre-school, so Sophie went in her witch costume, complete with hat (which she apparently kept on all day haha!). They made some crafts which I thought was lovely too.
When we got home and once Toby was back from work, we gave her the Halloween Basket which I put together for her. She absolutely loved it and went straight for the chocolate! She wasn’t too fussed about going trick-or-treating, as I think she was tired from being at pre-school, so we decided to stay in and played with balloons, ate more chocolate and snuggled on the sofa. When it was time for bed, we read some Halloween themed books together and she fell asleep cuddling her new Jellycat.
