Now that I have officially entered the second trimester, I wanted to share some of the products which I have found really useful over the past few months and which helped me through the first trimester.
These items aren’t essential, as I know everyone and every pregnancy is different. However these are the products which I have been reaching for since finding out we were expecting baby number two back in February.
I can’t even tell you how much bottled water I’ve got through over the past few months, we must have spent a fortune! However sipping on water seemed to help the constant nausea in the early weeks and even now when I can’t stomach food – it means I won’t get dehydrated.
A pregnancy vitamin is essential for baby’s development, especially in the first trimester. I used Pregnacare in my last pregnancy, so naturally I chose it again this time to ensure I got the right amount of folic acid and other vitamins.
I’ve been loving using this, mainly on my tummy but I have been applying it on the tops of my legs, arms and boobs to try and prevent more stretch marks. It smells lovely too!
I found these helped (to a certain extent) when I was suffering with constant nausea. They put pressure on your wrist to try and prevent motion sickness.
I know this is personal preference and not everyone agrees with them. However I literally don’t know what I would do without my doppler. My anxiety has been through the roof throughout my pregnancy and other than scans – this is the only thing that can reassure me everything is okay. I know once I’m later on in my pregnancy, I will monitor movements instead – but for now this has been one of my best purchases.
I was using my old pregnancy pillow since the very beginning, however it was a cheap one which I bought over four years ago. We were recently sent the Theraline pillow to review and I wouldn’t be without it now! It is so comfortable and really helps me get a good night sleep.
