This is my 25 week pregnancy update with baby number two! The weeks are flying by now and it’s only fifteen weeks until we meet our baby girl.

BABY DEVELOPMENT
Baby girl now weights about 1.46lbs and measures around 13.62 inches from head to toe. Her memory is beginning to develop, implying that music and voices will leave be leaving an impression in her brain. Her spine has 1000 ligaments, 150 joints and 33 vertebrae. Now that she has fully developed hands, loud noises may even prompt her to cover her tiny ears to shield them from the sounds. Her skin has also changed to a more opaque appearance.

I’ve been feeling really hormonal this week and my emotions have been all over the place.

SYMPTOMS
I’ve been feeling exhausted this week. My heartburn has woken me up a few times, which really doesn’t help when I have work the next day. I’ve bought Gaviscon though which seems to help and I’m trying to avoid certain foods which I know will make it worse. I’ve also occasionally been getting a strange uncomfortable feeling on one side – I’m not sure if it’s just baby lying on a nerve.

I’ve been sleeping ok, it’s just waking up to use the toilet and the heartburn which disrupts my sleep. I know that’s nothing compared to what’s to come though!

MOVEMENT
I’ve been feeling lots of movement this week. I’ve found she’s usually quiet in the morning, but gets more active throughout the day – especially in the evening and at night time. I also ordered a Kicks Count wristband so I can keep track of her movements.

HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEK
This week I booked a 4D scan for September when I’ll be 31 weeks! Sophie won’t have started school by then, so she can come too! I’m so excited to see baby girl again and see how much she’s grown!
