I thought it was about time I wrote an update for our baby girl, Amelia. I had intended to start writing regular weekly updates in the beginning and then monthly updates after the first month or two. However, as always, things didn’t turned out as I planned and I guess you could say that life just got in the way, especially adjusting to having two children!
So I’m going to tell you all about our littlest girl, who is just the sweetest little thing!
I know everyone says this, but I seriously cannot believe she is three months old already. Time has seriously flown by, even more so second time around. I guess that’s because we also have a four year old to look after too!
Since she was born – in fact, even when I was pregnant, Amelia has always been a very chilled baby. That’s probably why I could hardly feel her movements, as she’s just so content. In hospital she didn’t cry at all, she literally just squeaked for milk haha! She has become more vocal now though, but only when she wants something or if she’s just babbling and cooing away.
She is in size 3-6 month clothing and she was weighed last week (on the day she turned 14 weeks) and she is a very healthy 13lb 4oz! She’s been piling the weight on, as she just loves her milk! She takes around 6oz-7oz at each feed.
In some ways, Amelia and Sophie are quite similar. I know you shouldn’t really compare as every child is different, but it’s hard not to! Both girls were/are such happy babies! Amelia is usually super happy and will give you her biggest smiles and giggles. Especially when her Daddy and big sister are around! We’re pretty confident she’s also started teething, which is also the same age as Sophie was. She loves to chew on anything she can get her hands on at the moment!
Thankfully, she’s a good sleeper so far (touch wood!). We usually put her to bed (in her Snuzpod in our room) at around 11pm-12am and she will sleep until around 8am. Although, the past few days she has been going to bed a bit earlier, as she doesn’t really nap for longer than an hour during the day.
She spends a lot of her time on her play mat and she’s trying her best to roll, but she’s just not quite there yet. I’m sure she will be doing it by the time I write her next update though.
She really is a sweet little baby and it’s lovely (and bittersweet) watching her grow every day. I think that’s it for this update, but I will try and write an update each month and let you all know how she’s getting on!
