I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings. I’ve written a list of goals I would like to achieve by the end of this year and I can’t wait to see how many I achieve.
Personal goals:
1. My main aim this year is to lose weight. I say it every year, however I am actually going to do it this time. I did join Slimming World last year and I lost half a stone in the first couple of weeks – but then I found out I was pregnant with Amelia and it just went out of the window as I was struggling with sickness etc. I think losing weight will really help boost my confidence too.
2. Following on from that, I want to make time for myself and do things I used to enjoy, mainly before the girls came along. I’d like to read books, have baths to relax, make more of an effort by wearing makeup more often, painting my nails and getting my hair cut more frequently and writing blog posts. All of which are things I hardly do now, because I don’t find the time to look after myself and do things for me.
3. Another goal for this year is to go out more as a family and take more photos. I’m usually the one behind the camera, however I want to capture memories with the girls as they’re both growing up so quickly.
4. Try and be more positive and don’t let my mental health rule my life (easier said than done, I know). Over the past year or so, I’ve found my anxiety getting worse and worse . I’m currently going to therapy (I may talk about this in another post actually) so I’m hoping I can use the techniques to help reduce my anxiety and stop me over-worrying.
5. We have decided this is the year we are really going to try and save up for a house. I’m going back to work soon, so we’re going to start managing our finances better and hopefully this year (or next), we will be home-owners.
6. I want to de-clutter the house and have a good clearout of unwanted items. I find a clean and organised house really improves my mood too.
8. This is the year I want to learn how to cook, so it’s not just Toby doing all of the cooking.
Blogging
8. I want to be more organised. I’m going to purchase a planner and start finding time to write posts and schedule them in advance.
9. Like all bloggers, I’d like to see my blog and social media channels grow and improve. As well as my photography, as I love taking photos.
10. This may be the year I take the plunge into YouTube. I have been contemplating it for years but my confidence holds me back. I would love having videos to look back on of normal day to day life and family trips out though and I’m sure once I started, I wouldn’t look back.
