Amelia’s Toddler Bedroom Tour

I’ve been meaning to write this post for quite a while now, but I kept putting it off, as nothing ever feels quite finished. However, I think I’m happy with how it looks for now, so I thought I’d do a little toddler bedroom tour.
To start off, we painted the walls in Dulux Polished Pebble, which I think is the perfect grey paint. We have it in several rooms in our house now and we chose a thick pile carpet, which makes the room feel really cosy too.

If you remember the nursery tour from our previous house, it looks very similar. I chose the same colour scheme of white, grey and dusky pink for this room, as I just love how these colours look together. I also thought I would mention, I will link everything at the end of this post, just in case you wanted to know where things were from.

This corner of the room has a cotbed (which is just a large cot, converted to a small bed) and a bedside table. Amelia is our youngest daughter and is currently 2.5 years old, so this set-up works perfectly right now. Above the bedside table and cotbed, we have a bookshelf with a selection of classic books, which she loves us reading together at bedtime!

You may have already guessed that I like white furniture and minimal decor, but I love how simple and classic it looks in here. I personally don’t like things looking too cluttered or overcrowded.

To prevent her falling out of bed, we attach this wooden bed guard which I think looks a lot nicer than some of the others I’ve seen and it also means she can get in and out of bed safely. Although we do have a baby gate on the door, to stop her wandering around at night too.

I think this is my favourite corner of the room! My partner made the cloud shelf himself a few years ago now, when we were preparing the nursery ready for her arrival and the rest of the decor and accessories followed. The cloud theme just kind of stuck, but I think it still works really well. I adore these name blocks too, which were in the original nursery, in our last house.

You may have seen this storage unit in my recent favourite IKEA purchases post, but it is perfect for organising nappies, wipes and bigger clothes etc. The pink cloud print on top is a more recent purchase, as this corner was looking a bit bare and I thought it fit the theme perfectly. The white star next to it is used as a night light, which also has a room temperature thermometer which we find really useful.

You’ve also probably seen these drawers before, as they’re another IKEA purchase, but I’m really impressed with the quality of them. They’re really sturdy and they hold so much stuff inside too as the drawers are really deep.

We have this personalised print for both of our girls. They make lovely keepsakes and I love how the colours used match her room too. I also like to switch around the accessories in here too occasionally.

Lastly, I couldn’t resist purchasing this star print storage bag to store spare blankets and soft toys too. I think it’s the perfect way to neatly display our ever-growing collection of cuddly toys!
