BABY DEVELOPMENT
Baby girl now measures around 14.02 inches in length and weighs around 1.7lb. The little brain is beginning a period of growth and over 50 percent of baby’s energy will be used for this purpose. Her eyes are completely developed and the brain is able to register sound and light.

MOOD
I’ve been feeling fine this week, although from the tiredness and feeling very hormonal.

SYMPTOMS
This week I had my glucose test (GTT) at our local hospital. I couldn’t eat anything from midnight the night before and had to be at the hospital for 8.30 am. They took blood, then I had to drink a sugary drink within 5 minutes – which didn’t taste particularly nice. Then I had a pretty boring 2 hour wait and then they took more blood. Thankfully I didn’t hear anything back straight away and a letter came through the post, which said my results were normal. Such a huge relief!
I’ve also had heartburn on and off most days. I have been avoiding certain food/drink which I think make it worse, however I’m still getting it most days and have to take Gaviscon which seems to help.

SLEEP
I’ve been sleeping really well, as I’ve been so tired recently. I try and sleep on my left side too, as I’ve read that’s better for blood flow etc. And I’m still getting up to use the toilet during the night, but I think I’m getting used to it now!

MOVEMENT
I’ve been feeling lots of movement this week. I’m trying to see if there’s a pattern, but I’ve noticed she’s more active in the evenings and at night time.

FOOD CRAVINGS OR AVERSIONS
I haven’t had any cravings this week either. I think the new potatoes craving has gone haha!

HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEK
Toby made the shelves for the nursery this week and painted them, I can’t wait to put them up!
