This is my 22 week pregnancy update with baby number two! Baby girl is growing stronger each day and I’m feeling lots of movements!

BABY DEVELOPMENT
The baby weighs almost a pound now and is around 10.94 inches in length. Movements of the baby are deliberate and with the purpose of preparing its motor skills and coordination. The limbs are proportionate but baby is still very thin, weighing approximately one-seventh of the final weight at birth. Your baby’s brain is beginning to have a period of rapid growth and development.

MOOD
Tired. I think that pretty much sums it up! I’m waking at least once in the night to go to the bathroom or with heartburn, which just disrupts sleep and makes me feel worse in the morning! I’ve been quite emotional too this week and crying at silly things. I blame the hormones!

SYMPTOMS
My symptoms this week have mainly been tiredness and heartburn. I’ve only been sick once this week, which is good! I can really see my bump is getting bigger as the weeks go on.

SLEEP
I’ve been sleeping fine, once I finally get comfortable and fall asleep but then I will wake up needing the toilet. I’ve been taking a nap most days as well.

MOVEMENT
Since last week, movements have been a lot more frequent (although not in a regular pattern yet) and they are even visible now! I have noticed that in the evenings around 6pm and 1am, the baby is very active so I will keep an eye on any pattern.

FOOD CRAVINGS OR AVERSIONS
I haven’t really had any this week. I’m still trying to avoid cereal though as it just makes me nauseous.

HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEK
We’ve been on holiday in Scotland this week which has been lovely. Toby felt the baby kick for the first time, which was really special.

They really are! I haven't had any cravings this week but the past few weeks it's been new potatoes haha! x
